  1. Your pictures are stunning. I wasn’t able to go this year but it looks as spectacular as ever. We feature tours to Harbin including the Snow and Ice Festivals (www.chinalazyvacation.co.uk). Add that to the blend of Russian and Chinese culture which typifies the town and the spectacular historical architecture around the town and you have the ingredients for an insiring trip. I love Harbin at all times of the year but especially so in winter!

  2. It is well worth a visit, there’s a real buzz to the place at time of year with a lot of lively celebrations, the local Black Dragon Cuisine is superb too. The Festival is popular place for locals to get married too.

  3. It seems like a wonderful place… I haven’t been there yet, but thanks to Bruce (entros) who provided the 2007 pictures I could see, and also show others how beautiful Harbin is.

  4. I’ve been to the ice castle in Minnesota before … but this puts that one to shame! Very cool!

  5. I’m glad you like it… if you have pictures you can send them 😉

  6. Holy cow. That’s amazing. I thought he ice hotel in Quebec City was cool. This is brilliant.

    Awesome.

  7. Amazing and Brilliant really enjoyed it

  8. I wish there was a Chrystal City just like this to enjoy all year around. This is the most gorgeous city I have ever laid eyes on and its made of only ice. The work that is done every year to make a more fantastic city from the last is boggling to the mind. If it weren’t for these beautiful pictures, I may never see it. Thank you.

  9. We have dreamed of this for years. Having come from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, this venue in Harbin seems like it will be home to us…but, with added attraction of the spectacular Ice Festival! Our cameras are charged; our air tickets are purchased; and, our hotel is awaiting us. It appears that 2009 is off to a grand and life-time memorable start! We can hardly wait.

  10. I recently saw the Harbin Ice Festival pictures in a slide show set to music. It was absolutely breathtaking. The beauty and talent displayed in those pictures is remarkable. I have been thinking about where I want to go on my next vacation and that slideshow decided for me.

    Breathtaking!

  11. To have a home like that would be scarey. Everyone could see you and it would melt in the summer. But it would be so cool at the same time.Im mean onestly awsome, you could see your friends from the other side.

  12. Do you have any idea how much is spent on Chrystal City each year?

  13. So beautiful! The ice festival has four theme parks, the Harbin Ice & Snow World and the Sun Island Snow Sculpture Art Expo are the must-sees.
