Strange Book Covers

It is said that we should not judge a book by its cover.

So lets just judge the cover, not the books, a simple cover that can tell so much. It holds the title, the words hiding an entire story behind them more or less interesting. That is why some cannot pass without being observed and analyzed.

In general, there are books that we don't usually need and at the first sight they might seem funny and totally weird.

Leaving aside the funny part, a book cover can still look strange through its shape and material. An example would be Barbara's Yates impressive creations.

"This paperback is very interesting, but I find it will never replace a hardcover book – it makes a very poor doorstop."    (Alfred Hitchcock) No other words could be more true.

Her wooden books are simply amazing: the covers are not only strange by shape, but also have the power of giving an unusual strength and bondage to those thin pages between them.

I also found these books of shadows which seemed pretty unusual too . Their covers are beautifully carved and full of symbolism, each of them prepared to hide a world of magic and mystery.

And the last one and most interesting I could say:

  2. [...] [...]
