It follows you everywhere in the light and becomes invisible in the dark… More like a daemon than an angel. The shadow hides our identity and the real meanings of objects around us – a strange, magical world that doubles our reality. People-like shapes rise from garbage, the little duck is in fact a scary shark and, with the help of a piece of chalk, Giacometti draws the missy who hides behind the street sign.

Fizzy Water

A long time ago, I was adding some pictures of amazing water sculptures: splashes, colors, shadows…

But never wondered what happens when you drop everyday objects into fizzy water… Rings, watches, dvds and bubbles… As Carl calls them on Flickr his pictures are just the wonderful expression of fun with fizzy water and a macro lens.

Maybe you have heard about him… or maybe not. Liu Bolin, an inpirational and fascinating artist. Some artists paint flowers, others paint abstract figures, he paints himself. But in such way he becomes one with the world and objects around him. He blends with the environment and gives birth to amazing illusions.

Clothespins? I know, I know… Useful, but sadly boring. In other words NOT INTERESTING!
This is what many people would say… A clip, a wooden fastener, the most common accessory to help dry our clothes. Maybe it’s time to realize that it can be more than that. It can be part of an artwork, product design aaaand even part of a fashionable article of clothing. I personally was impressed by Sandra Backlund’s dress.
